Selling a replacement heavy duty plastic hinge half for the special half metal-half plastic garage door hinges found on many older garage doors. This is a direct replacement. This does not require hours of modifying your door or drilling new holes in the steel. There is no long down time and no dealing with a rigged up door that binds because the hinges are mismatched.
The problem with your original factory hinge is the plastic half was designed for ease of assembly for the original door installer but it was not designed to last. This heavy duty polymer version is 10x stronger and also allows the two halves to separate cleanly in most cases under extreme vertical stress without breaking. This allows you to fix the problem and then rejoin the two halves.
This is very easy to install. You only swap out the plastic half. The metal half of the hinge stays in place.
Directly replacing a hinge is 60x cheaper than replacing your whole garage door($2k average) or making lots of new holes in the steel trying to modify your door to make it work differently. Long projects like that never come out quite right. This heavy duty replacement is "one and done."
